Pastosa By Lucia is a Southern Italian restaurant tucked away in the industrial part of Galt, offering a straightforward, approachable dining experience for anyone craving authentic, homemade Italian fare without the fuss. The setting is modest and cozy, seating only about 20 people, which helps maintain a low-key, family-owned vibe rather than a polished or overly trendy atmosphere. Its location off the beaten path means it’s the kind of spot locals might discover by word of mouth or social media before making a trip out.

This is an order-at-the-counter place, with options to dine indoors or outside, making it flexible for a quick lunch stop or a relaxed dinner. The service stands out for being friendly and informative; staff members take the time to guide newcomers through the menu, which includes a variety of pastas and sauces made fresh from scratch. They offer both classic tomato-based sauces and alternatives like creamy and pesto options, plus gluten-free pasta choices that cater to different dietary needs.

The food itself leans into homestyle Italian cooking, with highlights including the spicy sausage ravioli, creamy Caesar-like house salad dressings, and especially memorable dishes like the pink sauce pasta that keep people coming back. Bread arrives warm with olive oil, setting a simple but satisfying tone. While appetizers such as mozzarella sticks are solid, they don’t steal the show from the fresh pastas and housemade sauces. Desserts like hazelnut cake and other treats provide a sweet finish reflective of the kitchen’s made-from-scratch approach.

Because of the limited seating, weekends—especially Fridays and Saturdays—can get busy, so planning a midweek visit or an early dinner might make for a more relaxed experience. Given its location and homey feel, Pastosa By Lucia suits anyone looking for genuine Italian comfort food in a no-frills setting: families stopping by on road trips, locals appreciating something different from chain options, or pasta enthusiasts keen on freshly made dishes without pretense.

I saw this restaurant on IG and shared it with my wife. This place has gluten free options as well as different types of sauces that are not tomato based. It’s an order at the counter kind of place however it has outdoor dining as well as indoor dining. Great delicious food and the staff are amazing and very friendly. The person that took my order recommended the house creamy caesar dressing for my salad and it was delicious . My wife had the butternut squash ravioli with a creamy pesto sauce ( just a little bit watery for her taste) but it was delicious. My mom had a simple spaghetti with marinara sauce, once again delicious. I had the crazy lasagna (all meat) and again delicious. Our meal came with focaccia bread that was awesome. This now our go to spot for pasta. It’s worth a drive out to Galt if you around the Sacramento area. Definitely recommend going.

The food was fresh made from scratch with quality, patience and love. Dinning area felt homey not too snazzy but not to drab. Give serious family owned feeling.service was kind informative and courteous. I asked many questions it being my first visit the young lady helping us was more the happy to assist in my decision. Everything is made in house sauce, pasta, bread, and deserts.

Small restaurant with seating for maybe 20. It's in the industrial side of town. Very confusing location , until you take that first bite. Then it all makes sense. The free bread with olive oil was good. Nothing special. The mozzarella sticks also fine. Definitely fresh made in house. But not crazy good The pink sauce pasta was 10/10 stars. Finger licking good. It all makes sense now. Wow. 5 stars isn't enough.

Good selection of well cooked home made pastas. Deserts here are also very good. Only downside to this place is it has limited seating, can be pretty hard to get a table on Friday or Saturday.

Great quaint Italian restaurant near the 99. We stopped in on our drive north. What a treat. The service was prompt and friendly, the assortment of homemade pastas was incredible. The food was delicious— just right. And the dessert was very tasty! We tried the hazelnut cake this time. We would love to come again on another trip.

Made a stop here while out of town and WOW!!! The butternut squash ravioli was out of this world. The server has recommended it and I was not expecting for it to be as good as it was. The prices are good for the amount of food. It was pretty busy the night we went and our server didn’t really come check on us before giving us the bill. Other than that I’d definitely plan on return just to eat the same dish again.

Upon entering, we received a warm and uplifting greeting from the staff. Our waitress, Deja, exemplified exceptional courtesy, engagement, and expertise in menu offerings, providing inspired recommendations that embarked us on a delightful culinary journey featuring classic lasagna, spaghetti, and the recommended pear and cheese ravioli, all of which were rich in flavor and exceptional. Notably, the generously proportioned serving sizes were perfectly suited for sharing. We would visit this place again!
